Settings reference

Every tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced window, captured at 1920×1080 on game build v1.5.2.2. Click any screenshot to open it at full size.

222 settings across eighteen tabs. Each one is documented inside the game already — this page exists so you can read them before you install, work out what you want to change, and find the tab it lives on.

OrientationHow to read the window

Every tab follows the same three-part layout.

  • The tab list, down the left. Eighteen tabs plus About. The order is deliberate — Core settings first, then engine, then the post-processing stack roughly in the order the effects are applied.
  • The status panel, beneath it. Live diagnostics: resolution, aspect ratio, applied UI scale, and how many canvases, profiles and cameras were found in the current scene. Explained on the verify page.
  • The settings pane, on the right. Grouped under headings, each setting followed by an explanation of what it does to your game and to your framerate.

The three controls at the top of the window

ControlWhat it does
ExplanationsToggles the description text under every setting. Turn it off once you know the mod and want a dense, compact list.
AdvancedReveals the settings most people never need — solver internals, clamps, precision toggles. All the screenshots on this page have it on.
R (beside each setting)Resets that one setting to the mod default. Every tab also has Reset this tab and Reset EVERYTHING at the bottom.

4 tabsCore

The four tabs that change how the game behaves rather than how it looks. If you install this mod and touch nothing else, these are the ones already working for you by default.

General tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
GeneralMaster Enable, the pause-while-open toggle, the performance overlay and the scene rescan timer. Master Enable is the A/B switch — flip it off and every override reverts live, with no restart.
Display tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
DisplayTwenty-six modes detected on this machine, merged from seven sources and de-duplicated. [NATIVE] is your panel, [SCALED] entries are fractions of native so they carry its exact aspect ratio, [ADDED] entries are standard modes your driver did not report.
UI Scaling tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
UI ScalingThe canvas scaler the game never shipped. MatchHeight is the default and the right answer for almost everyone; Master UI Scale is the slider most people actually want. Menu Aspect Fit set to UngodlyFit is what stops menus exploding on ultrawide.
Smoothness tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
SmoothnessThe camera jitter fix. Physics Update Rate on MatchRefreshRate lines movement steps up 1:1 with rendered frames. Frame pacing, incremental GC and background loading priority live here too.

2 tabsEngine

Unity-level settings and the camera. This is where the vanilla menu's four coarse quality presets get taken apart into their individual pieces.

Quality tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
QualityUnity quality tier, texture mip limit, anisotropic filtering with the pass that stamps the level onto already-loaded textures, and full shadow control past what the vanilla menu will reach.
Camera tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
CameraField of view unlocked from its hardcoded 64°, with a separate value for the weapon camera so your axe does not warp. Clip planes, HDR, MSAA and occlusion culling.

11 tabsPost-processing

Bendy runs Post Processing Stack v1 across two separate profiles, and getting the split wrong is why naive graphics mods for this game only half work. The depth profile on the world camera owns everything that needs the depth buffer — fog, anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, depth of field, reflections. The colour profile on the weapon camera draws last and therefore sees the fully composited frame, which is why bloom, grain, motion blur, colour grading, vignette, chromatic aberration and eye adaptation belong there. Every setting below is routed to the profile that will actually render it.

Bloom tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
BloomIntensity, threshold, soft knee, radius, anti-flicker and lens dirt. Vanilla exposes one on/off toggle for all of it.
Ambient Occlusion tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Ambient OcclusionThe single most effective effect for making Bendy's cluttered studio feel like it has depth. Sample Count is the main performance dial — step it down before you consider switching the effect off.
Depth of Field tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Depth of FieldReal photographic control: focus distance in metres, aperture in f-stops, focal length in millimetres. Set aperture to f/16 or higher for a nearly-sharp image if you dislike the effect but do not want it off.
Motion Blur tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Motion BlurShutter angle in degrees — 180 is the century-old cinema standard. Sample Count is the performance dial. Frame Blending stays at 0 unless you want a degraded-film look.
Anti-Aliasing tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Anti-AliasingFXAA with five presets or TAA with jitter spread, sharpening and separate still/moving blend coefficients. TAA is the recommendation for this game — Bendy is high-contrast black ink on pale walls, so aliasing shows badly.
Colour Grading tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Colour GradingEntirely new capability — vanilla exposes none of this. ACES tone mapping is the strongest single visual upgrade in the mod. Post Exposure is the correct way to lighten dark floors without washing them out.
Vignette tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
VignetteIntensity, smoothness, roundness, centre position and colour. Force Perfect Circle should usually be off on wide monitors, where it darkens the top and bottom far more than the sides.
Grain & Lens tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Grain & LensFilm grain, chromatic aberration and dithering. Grain size around 1.5–2.0 reads as chunky 16mm stock rather than digital sensor noise, which suits the 1930s premise; leave Coloured Grain off for the period-correct look.
Eye Adaptation tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Eye AdaptationAutomatic exposure, also entirely new. Minimum and Maximum Exposure bound how far it is allowed to go; the histogram cutoffs stop a large black area or a single bright bulb dragging the whole image.
Reflections tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
ReflectionsScreen-space reflections. Note the warning at the top: this effect only works when the camera renders in deferred mode. If you enable it and nothing happens, that is why — check the About tab for what was actually detected.
Fog & Volumetrics tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
Fog & VolumetricsBendy's signature light shafts. Vanilla only enables volumetrics above a certain quality preset with no direct control. Full resolution is where to spend spare GPU headroom in this game.

1 tabPresets

One-click looks, and what each one is for.

Presets tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
PresetsEight one-click looks. Presets only change graphics settings — resolution, window mode, monitor choice, UI scaling and the hotkey are never overwritten, because those depend on your hardware rather than on a visual style.

What each preset does

Potato

Genuinely old hardware

Shadows go hard-only at short range, ambient occlusion and volumetric lighting are switched off, depth of field and motion blur are disabled, render scale drops to 75%. Flat and plain, but it runs on almost anything — expect roughly double the framerate of Ungodly.

Performance

Older mid-range cards and handhelds

Keeps the atmosphere but cuts the expensive extras. Volumetric lighting stays on at quarter resolution because it matters too much to this game to lose; ambient occlusion runs at low sample count and half resolution; anti-aliasing uses cheap FXAA.

Balanced

Mid-range hardware from the last several years

What the game should have shipped with. Everything the developers built is switched on and tuned sensibly, with TAA for stable edges, half-resolution volumetrics and high-resolution shadows. Comfortably 60+ FPS at 1080p.

Ungodly

A real graphics card

Everything turned up as far as it sensibly goes. Full-resolution volumetric light shafts, very high shadow maps at long range, high-sample full-resolution ambient occlusion, 16× anisotropic filtering, ACES tone mapping and a doubled LOD bias so nothing ever pops. The preset the mod is named after.

Cinematic

Screenshots and video capture

The Ungodly settings plus a film-camera look: heavier grain at a coarse 16mm size, a stronger vignette, gentle chromatic aberration, warm tungsten white balance and a shallow depth of field at f/2.8. Slightly harder to actually play.

Silent Film

One playthrough you will remember

A complete stylistic reinterpretation. Full desaturation to black and white, raised contrast, heavy coarse grain and a strong vignette turn Bendy into the 1930s cartoon it is pretending to be. The whole game reads differently.

Clean & Clear

Motion sickness and dark corridors

Strips out every effect that obscures the image. No grain, no vignette, no chromatic aberration, no motion blur, no depth of field, plus raised brightness and post-exposure. Built for players who find the ink-flooded lower floors too dark to navigate.

Vanilla

Handing the visuals back

Switches off all the override toggles, so the mod stops driving post-processing entirely. UI scaling and resolution control stay active, so you keep the fixed interface without any change to the artists' visuals.

1 tabDiagnostics

One-click looks, and what each one is for.

About tab of the Ungodly Bendy Enhanced settings windowView full size · 1920×1080
AboutVersion, author, platform and hotkey, a summary of what the mod fixes, and the Diagnostics panel — which reports what was actually detected on your machine in the current scene. This is the page to screenshot if you ever need to report a problem.

Text configDoing it from the config file instead

Every setting in the window is also a plain text entry in BepInEx\config\stixsworldhd.bendy.ungodlyenhanced.cfg. BepInEx generates it on first run, complete with a description, type and default value for each entry — so the file is readable on its own without cross-referencing anything.

An entry looks like this
## How much of the world you can see, in degrees. The vanilla 64 is quite
## claustrophobic - which is arguably the point in a horror game, but it also
## causes motion sickness for a lot of people. 75-90 feels far more comfortable
## on a monitor.
# Setting type: Single
# Default value: 90
# Acceptable value range: From 50 to 140
World Field of View = 90
